Tax accountancy makes top level appointments |

RSM Tenon, the UK’s seventh largest accountancy and business advisory firm, has today announced (21st July 2010) the promotions of Mike Tuhme and Karen McGrory as directors within its tax service line. Commenting on the appointments, Andrew Hubbard, National Tax Policy Director of RSM Tenon’, said: ‘The world of tax is an evolving environment and whether you are an individual or business, managing your affairs efficiently is a constant challenge. We aim to promote key people within our tax advisory team to ensure it is well managed and drives our quality of service. Both Karen and Mike have a wealth of experience and will certainly make a significant contribution in the London and the East Midlands regions respectively’. Mike Tuhme joined RSM Tenon in 1999 and has been a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser since 2003. Mike has specialised in corporate and transactional tax for over 10 years and currently services a demanding mixed corporate portfolio, with an emphasis on identifying and implementing planning opportunities and techniques for liability mitigation. In his new role as Tax Director based in Leicester his main focus will be to build the tax practice in the East Midlands region via new product and business development. He will also play a role in the transactional tax advisory offering of the national practice. Karen McGrory works in RSM Tenon’s Employer Solutions team giving clients advice and support on employment related tax. She will lead the new RSM Tenon national Employer Solutions team with her fellow director, Duncan Groves. Karen has nearly 20 years experience in the accounts, tax and audit work. Karen’s experience includes specialist advice on international assignment policy development and processes, complex cross border tax and social security planning, advising on cross border employer compliance requirements and remuneration planning and structuring. In her new role she will continue to grow the national Employer Solutions team which provides all round business advice to employers.
