Genevieve Shore appointed to Board with effect from 1 March 2012. STV Group plc (LON:STVG) has announced the appointment of Genevieve Shore as a non-executive director to the board of STV Group plc with effect from 1 March 2012. Genevieve will replace Matthew Peacock who resigned as non-executive director today, having served on the board since February 2007. Shore’s career includes extensive digital, technology and commercial experience in the media, publishing and technology sectors. She currently sits on the management board of Pearson plc, reporting to Marjorie Scardino, as Chief Information Officer and Director of Digital Strategy of Pearson plc. Previously Shore has held leadership roles with Pearson Group including Global Digital Director, Penguin, and Group Sales Director, Penguin. Richard Findlay, Chairman of STV, stated: "I am delighted to welcome Genevieve Shore to the STV Board. The company is now firmly established as an innovative consumer facing digital content business and Genevieve’s expertise in developing new digital products and services will be invaluable as we progress the next phase of our growth strategy.
