Artilium plc, the AIM listed provider of mobile unified communications software solutions, has appointed Chris Ogle as Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.

He replaces Tony Lynch who is stepping down as CFO in order to relocate with his family overseas. Artilium said that Lynch would step down as a board member but would remain with the company until 29 February 2008 to effect a smooth transition.

Ogle has over 15 years’ experience in managing the finance functions of companies in the international technology and media arenas, including eight years of listed company experience.

He joins Artilium from AIM-listed software solutions provider, Flomerics Group plc, where he was group finance director and company secretary. Ogle managed two significant acquisitions for the company as well as a fund-raising.

Flomerics was awarded the “AIM Award for Best Communications” in 2001 by the London Stock Exchange for the company’s investor relations work during Ogle’s tenure.

Ogle held a number of finance positions within the Telstar Group prior to Flomerics, between June 1990 and April 1998, including deputy group finance director and company secretary.

From April 1998 until June 1999 he held the position of general manager and finance director of the group’s computer games subsidiary Telstar Electronic Studios Limited.

Ogle has also held the position of group management accountant at WPP Group plc, and trained as an audit and tax consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Artilium (LSE:ARTA) develops software in the heart of the telecoms network. ARTA, the company’s IMS-compliant service delivery platform, first converges and then intelligently controls networks to enable fast, efficient deployment and monetisation of innovative, differentiated mobile unified communications solutions for operators.

The group was founded in 1995 and has completed more than 40 installations serving tens of millions of end-users in 11 countries.
