In June this year, Barclaycard set out to fill over 300 customer service vacancies at its contact centre at Teesdale Business Park, Stockton-on-Tees. To date, over 200 people have been recruited, leaving 120 vacancies still to be filled.

The roles were created as Barclaycard continues to grow in the UK and after the recent acquisition of the Goldfish credit card business. Barclaycard now has 11.9 million customers in the UK and is seeking to recruit in customer service and sales roles and is offering both full-time and part-time positions.

Elaine Mockler, Head of Sales and Service at Barclaycard said, “We’re thrilled that we’ve so far recruited 200 new colleagues to the business and they’re helping deliver great customer service to Barclaycard customers. But, we’d like to recruit more and we’ll continue to advertise for suitable applicants.”
