Pier Antoniucci has stepped down as chief executive of Block Shield due to personal health issues.
The board also announced that Gary Koos, currently the company's chief financial officer, will serve as acting chief executive officer over the short-term. Koos will remain on the management committee of the company. Mike Fitzgerald, chairman of Block Shield (LSE:BLS), said that Block Shield had developed into a business with market-leading capabilities in both electromagnetic compatibility and Radio Frequency Identification applications, due in great part to Antoniucci’s leadership. “Pier's efforts and foresight have been hugely significant and I am grateful to him for placing the company in a position of strength going forward as we anticipate escalating demand for our innovative product range. I look forward to Pier returning to Block Shield when he is back in full health,” he added. Related links |
