CBG appoints group finance director Print E-mail

CBG Group plc has appointed Martyn Hughes has been appointed as group finance director with immediate effect.

Hughes is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has worked within CBG since its inception in January 2001 and is currently an executive director and company secretary.

Robin Slinger reverts to a non executive role, bringing the number of non executives on the board to three.

Stuart Mollekin will now focus on more strategic issues and the group's acquisition and integration programmes ahead of a move to a non executive position in the summer of 2009.

CBG (LSE:CB.) is a Manchester based insurance broker, financial adviser and healthcare specialist.

Laurie Turnbull, chairman of CBG, said, "We are delighted to be able, at an exciting time in the group's development, to implement part of our succession planning strategy whilst retaining the input and skills of two very experienced directors, both of whom have been closely involved in the group's development."
