One of the UK’s leading volunteering charity, CSV today confirmed that Ruth Jenkins will be taking over as Director of Finance following the retirement of the current Director, Chris Snelling on 1st April.

Jenkins (30) is currently Head of Finance with Homeless Link.

Jenkins makes a welcome return to CSV after successfully completing professional accountancy and voluntary sector qualifications while working for Gotham Erskine (2004-09).

Speaking about the job ahead, Jenkins said:

“I’m really looking forward to returning to CSV to help make it easier for staff and volunteers to make a difference in the communities where they operate. I’ve always been impressed how CSV helps children at risk, improves the lives of older people and enables citizens to have a positive impact in schools, hospitals, prisons, libraries and social services. One of my key aims will be to make the information in our financial reports easier to absorb and more relevant and useable.”

Jenkins has a strong track record in using her skills as a volunteer, acting as a Trustee for Peace Direct, Director of GeneWatch, working with disabled children on a CSV placement after university and helping to prepare meals for a housebound woman. Ruth started her relationship with CSV as a volunteer, before becoming Executive Assistant at CSV (2002-2004).
