Advertising agency Ekay plc has appointed Stephen Latter to the board as group financial director.
Latter, 51, has worked for twenty years in the international media sector, primarily within the Aegis Group, occupying both domestic and central chief financial officer roles within Asia and Europe focussing on mergers and acquisitions, regional development, regional management and international client servicing. The company (LSE:EKY) also announced that Michael Lording, financial director has, with immediate effect, resigned from the Board and will leave the company on 31 July. Lording joined Ekay in April 2007, becoming finance director and company secretary in June 2007 and was appointed to the board in November 2007. He is a career company accountant since starting work in 1980 with the department of employment. Lording has since been employed by a number of companies initially in the role of project accountant and in 1999 became finance director of Telia International Carrier Ltd, the UK subsidiary of the Swedish national telecoms carrier. In 2003, he co-founded and successfully built up a communications carrier business, T-Liason Ltd. Immediately before joining Ekay, Lording spent sixteen months as a financial consultant to Frans Maas (UK) Ltd and AXA UK. Ekay is an advertising and marketing agency specialising in the use of television, national and local press, magazines, the internet, direct mail and posters across the UK. It provides specific services to clients such as media planning, media buying, media analysis, design & origination, online, PR, event management, research, marketing, branding, direct response and creative solutions.
