Shared Services expert, Claudio Altini, has joined sourcing and business transformation consultancy, EquaTerra as the new head of the organisation’s rapidly expanding F&A Practice in Europe and the Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining EquaTerra Claudio worked with PA Consulting Group for ten years where he held various senior positions in their Global Business Transformation Group.

Claudio is a leading authority on multi-functional Shared Services with wider expertise in design and delivery of corporate services, and back office transformation of finance and HR functions in particular.

“The F&A advisory market has until now been dominated by the traditional accountancy firms, boutique operators, strategy houses and outsourcing service providers”, said Claudio.

We are not associated with an audit division and therefore have no conflict of interest or a particular position to protect when advising our clients. So, I believe EquaTerra is in a unique position whereby we offer CFOs a truly credible alternative”, he continued.

A Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of extensive experience in private and public sectors Claudio established PA’s Shared Services capability and acted as the service lead for this global proposition, before taking responsibility for creating and establishing a global Finance Transformation & Performance service line.

Shared Services clients with which Claudio has worked include Honda Motors Europe, the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Transport for London, Interoute Telecommunications plc, Vopak BV and the UK Department for Work and Pensions.

A Business and Accounting graduate, Claudio also spent six years with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in both London and South Africa in their Audit, Corporate Finance and Forensic Accounting practices.

Claudio is a regular participant and contributor on Shared Service think tank forums, an experienced conference speaker and a prolific author in his specialist field.
