FishWorks plc has appointed Stephen Easthope (35) as finance director, in a full-time capacity, with immediate effect.
Easthope takes over the position from Chris Marsh who has acted in a part time capacity since February 2007. Marsh will be leaving the board of directors and the company. Easthope, a qualified accountant and restaurant sector specialist, joins FishWorks from Searcy's where he was finance director and responsible for a number of high profile businesses and assisted in the sale of this business to the Alternative Hotel Group at the end of 2007. He previously held positions with Conran Restaurants and Jean Christophe Novelli Restaurants. FishWorks (LSE:FSH) founder Mitch Tonks worked as an accountant before deciding to fulfil his passion for seafood by opening a specialist fishmonger in Bath in 1995. In 1997, he added the Seafood Café above the shop and then began running specialist seafood cookery schools, which proved to be a huge success both personally and commercially. Tonks now runs restaurants across the south of England, including Bath, Marylebone and Chiswick. The company also runs cookery schools in Bristol, Christchurch, and Richmond. FishWorks also has a home delivery service offering fresh fish, delivered overnight from Brixham. CEO Paul Goodale said he was delighted to welcome Easthope to the FishWorks board. “He brings with him a vast amount of industry knowledge and a great deal of experience of building and running successful restaurant businesses. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Chris Marsh for his valuable input over the last year,” Goodale added. Related links |
