Food group Greencore has appointed Geoff Doherty as chief financial officer and chief executive of its property and agribusiness activities. Doherty’s appointment will be with effect from 15 February. He succeeds Patrick Coveney who assumed the position of group chief executive designate in December. Doherty, 36, is a chartered accountant who joined Greencore (LSE:GNC) in 2001 as group financial controller. The group said that he played a key role in integrating the Greencore and Hazlewood businesses. He was appointed group development director in 2005, joining the board in July of that year. He had responsibility for planning and executing the expansion of the food business as well as board responsibility for developing the potential of the group’s property portfolio. He will continue to have responsibility for the property agenda in his new role. Related articles Related links |
