Hydrodec Group plc has appointed John Dickson as finance director and member of the board of the company with immediate effect.
Dickson, 42, has extensive strategic and hands-on financial management experience in medium and large-scale international companies. His previous experience includes strategic financial management in the quoted Rio Tinto subsidiary Coal & Allied, senior finance executive roles in the construction industry and The Peanut Company of Australia, audit management with KPMG and financial controller for Australian Magnesium Corporation. Dickson is currently the sole director of Reektham Pty Ltd, an accounting consulting company, and was a director of Stuneap Pty Ltd, the UK subsidiary of The Peanut Company of Australia. He has worked in the UK and Australia and has expertise in US accounting and tax issues. The previous finance director Rodger Sargent is stepping down to become a non-executive director.
