UBS (NYSE:UBS) today announced that John F. Bradley will join UBS as Group head of Human Resources (HR).

The position will be held in Zurich and commences with immediate effect.

Bradley joins UBS after 26 years with JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM).

Bradley finished off at JPMorgan Chase as global head of HR.

UBS said they were impressed by Bradley's extensive leadership experience in 'all areas of HR management.'

Gery Brüderlin, UBS's current Group head of HR, will stay with UBS in a yet to be determined role and work with Bradley during the transition period.

"The wealth of business and HR leadership experience that John brings to our firm and adds to our HR function ensures that our HR leadership team is best equipped to deliver the highest impact, most business-oriented HR products and services to the entire firm," commented Ulrich Körner, Group COO and CEO Corporate Center.

Bradley was co-head of HR at JP Morgan prior to the firm’s merger with Chase in 2000.

After the merger, he held a variety of senior HR leadership roles at JP Morgan Chase. Notably he was the International HR Executive for the firm, based out of London, from 2003 until the end of 2005.

He then returned to the US to take on the global head of HR role, which he held until early 2009.
