JumpTV Inc., a specialist in broadcasting international television and sports over the Internet, has appointed Gabe Battista and John Anderson to the company's board of directors.

Battista, 63, has been an active player in the telecommunications world for the past four decades.

Most recently, he retired from his role as chairman of the board of Talk America, where he previously served as chief executive officer and led the effort to consider new strategic options for the company resulting in the sale of Talk America to Cavalier Telephone, LLC., in 2006 for $251 million.

Battista also previously served as chief executive officer of Network Solutions Inc. which, under his leadership, became a public company on the NASDAQ in September 1997.

He was previously chief executive officer, president and chief operating officer of Cable & Wireless, Inc., Vienna, Virginia.

Additionally, Battista has held management positions at US Sprint, GTE Telenet and The General Electric Company. He serves as a member of the board of trustees of Capitol College and of the American University in Rome.

He is currently also a director of TEOCO (The Employee Owned Company), Sentrillion, Inc., and Network Alliance, Inc as well as a limited partner of Emerald Investment, NEA and Valhalla II. He served on JumpTV's advisory board since September 2006.

Anderson, 62, has nearly 30 years of financial and corporate governance experience including 14 years as a partner at Ernst & Young from 1979 to 1993. It is the intention of the board to appoint Anderson as chair of the company's audit committee.

He is currently the chief financial officer of each of Impax Energy Services Income Trust; Tailwind Financial Inc., which went public in the United States in April 2007 raising US$100 million, and LBBP Inc.

Anderson has also held a senior advisory position at MDS Capital Corp, a division of MDS Inc., from 1998 to 2000.

He currently serves as a director of Roots Canada Ltd., chairman of the board of governors of Ridley College, and director and chair of the audit committee, Canadian Medical Discoveries Fund Inc.

Jordan Banks, chief executive officer of JumpTV (TSX:JTV) (LSE:JTV), said, "Battista's strategic vision, expertise and marked longstanding success in the telecommunications and Internet spaces along with Anderson's enormous depth and scope of expertise in finance and accounting will serve to amplify the board's already considerable strengths in those areas.”

In parallel with these new appointments, M. Lorne Abony and Mr. Gary Slaight will be stepping down from the board effective immediately.

The appointments to the board of directors are subject to the approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange.
