Komercni banka will appoint Patrice Taillandier-Thomas as chief administrative officer with effect from 1 February 2008.
This appointment is subject to approval by the Czech National Bank. Philippe Rucheton, currently KB vice-chairman and deputy CEO, has accepted the position of member of the executive board and CFO of Newedge, a derivatives brokerage joint venture between Société Générale and Calyon. Taillandier-Thomas graduated from the Institut d‘Etudes Politiques and holds a postgraduate degree in law and another in economics. Since 1983 he has held various positions, mainly in the area of payments, in Société Générale. He has been deputy manager of the card activity department and manager of the e-business division since 2000. In his previous position he managed the BASEL II project.
