Dassas will report directly to Carlos Ghosn, President and CEO, Nissan Motor Company and will be a member of Nissan's Executive Committee. "Alain Dassas' track record leading financial services for Renault and his depth of experience and knowledge of the global financial markets will be a great asset for Nissan during our next period of growth," said Carlos Ghosn. Renault owns a 44 per cent stake in Nissan, Japan's third largest car manufacturer. "I look forward to Alain joining Nissan's management team and leading our company's efforts to identify and execute opportunities to enhance Nissan's financial performance and shareholder returns," continued Ghosn. Dassas is Nissan's first CFO since Thierry Moulonguet left in 2003 to take up the same role at Renault. Nissan hopes to turn round the firm's fortunes after a slump in sales. Prior to joining Renault, Dassas spent 10 years at the Chase Manhattan Bank in Paris and New York. Dassas took up his current position in April 2006. Bernard Rey, currently Senior Vice President in Renault's CEO Office will replace Dassass as President of the Renault F1 Team. |
