OCS, a £630 million privately owned international property support services group, has appointed two new group board directors.
Rod Holdsworth was named as finance director and Steve Tinton as a non-executive director with particular responsibility as chair of the audit committee. Holdsworth was most recently group finance director of support service at construction group Morrison plc, where he worked with the senior team to create visibility of performance, improve quality of financial support and increase focus on working capital control and cash generation. A chartered accountant (FAC) with a background in civil engineering, he has held senior financial positions with Alfred McAlpine and engineering consultancy Whitby Bird. Tinton, also a chartered accountant (FAC), was a partner in Price Waterhouse until his retirement in 2006. Since then, he has provided consultancy advice to PricewaterhouseCoopers throughout the world and to the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His recent work as a director and audit chair within the NHS has given him insight into transforming large organisations responsible to diverse stakeholders whilst improving operational and financial performance. OCS chief executive Chris Cracknell said, “We have analysed the marketplace and prepared programmes, initiatives and action plans, and the experience and expertise of our new directors will help take these forward.” OCS employs 61,000 people across five continents and provides a portfolio of services from engineering and hygiene services to cleaning, catering, security, pest control and horticulture. Its clients include major public and private corporations in sectors ranging from healthcare to finance and banking. Related links |
