Grant Dow has resigned his position as managing director and CEO of Plantic Technologies Limited with immediate effect.
Brendan Morris, finance director and chief operating officer, will assume the position of chief executive officer for a period of at least three months while the board completes a process of selecting the new CEO. Plantic specialises in completely biodegradable and organic bioplastics based on corn which is not genetically modified, as an alternative to conventional plastics. The firm’s chairman Ian Wightwick said that Dow had guided Plantic (LSE:PLNT) through a very important period of its development. He referred to two capital raisings, the last involving the successful listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange. During 2007 a number of important joint venture and partnership agreements were completed including DuPont, National Starch, and Bemis. Related links |
