PwC names new leadership team Print E-mail

PricewaterhouseCoopers has unveiled its executive board, to be chaired by Ian Powell.

The move follows the announcement of Ian Powell as chairman and senior partner elect on 17 April 2008.

The new leadership team consists of:

James Chalmers – Strategy and Talent
Chalmers is a member of the UK and global assurance leadership team, with responsibility for strategy. He was admitted as an assurance partner in 1997.

Richard Collier-Keywood – Managing Partner
Collier-Keywood is head of tax and a member of the current management board. He was admitted as a partner in 1992. He is a barrister and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has specialised in tax since 1984.

Kevin Ellis – Head of Advisory
Ellis is head of business recovery services. He was admitted as a partner in 1996, and has specialised in providing turnaround and restructuring services to underperforming businesses in the public and private sectors for over 18 years.

Owen Jonathan – General Counsel
Jonathan has been UK general counsel since 2000. He was admitted as a partner on joining the firm in 2000. In November 2002, he joined the management board and became chairman of the UK firm’s Risk Council.

Barry Marshall – Head of Tax
Marshall is a tax partner. He was admitted as a partner in 1988. He joined Coopers & Lybrand in 1980 in the audit practice, and moved to tax in 1982.

Kevin Nicholson – Regions
Nicholson leads the entrepreneurial and private client business. He was admitted as a partner in 2000. Kevin has worked at the firm for over 18 years.

Paul Rawlinson – Markets
Rawlinson is an advisory partner. He was admitted to the partnership in 1994. He joined the transaction advisory service team when it was first established, running the business for five years to March 2006.

Richard Sexton – Head of Assurance
Sexton is the head of assurance and is a member of the UK management board. He has been a partner for seventeen years. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Keith Tilson – Chief Financial Officer
Tilson has been managing partner, finance and operations since 2006. He was admitted to the partnership in 1988. He led the advisory practice between 1988 and 2006.

Powell said that the executive board brought together a breadth and depth of experience and talent.

“I look forward to working closely with this team to deliver consistently outstanding service to our clients and to attract, develop and retain the best people as a part of the team at PwC," he added.

The executive board appointments take effect from 1 July 2008.
