| Rolfe to become Sage non-executive director |

The Sage Group plc has appointed Mark Rolfe to the Sage Board as non-executive director from 1 December 2007.
Rolfe will serve on the audit, remuneration and nominations committees and, from 1 April 2008, will chair the audit committee. He was finance director of Gallaher Group Plc, until the group was acquired by Japan Tobacco Inc in April 2007. He spent over 20 years with Gallaher in various finance and executive roles, which included responsibility for business development. Rolfe qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, after obtaining a BCom in Accounting from Birmingham University. Tony Hobson, chairman, said, “Mark Rolfe has a tremendous track record as the finance director of a major international business. This experience will enable him to provide strong leadership of the audit committee and will be of enormous value to the board.” Rolfe will also join the board of Hornby Plc as a non-executive director from 1 January 2008. There are no other details requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13, relating to further information on this appointment, including other public company directorships.
