Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking today announced that Liz Hogan and Jerome Jacques have been appointed as Co-Heads of the Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities division (FICC) for the Americas, replacing Paolo Taddonio who decided to leave Société Générale to pursue outside interests. Hogan, was previously head of Treasury for the region, and Jacques was head of Capital Market Finance for the region. Both have been appointed members of the FICC Management Committee and US Executive Committee. They report to Olivier Khayat, Global Head of FICC and to the CEO of SG Americas, Diony Lebot. Hogan joined Société Générale in 1987 and joined the Money Market Group in 1989 as a trader, becoming Head of Treasury in 1996, Deputy Head of Fixed Income & Money Markets in early 2007, and head of the group in July 2007. Jacques has spent the last 10 years in various securitization roles, most recently as head of U.S. securitization since August 2007. Prior to that, he was European Head of Residential and Commercial Real Estate Securitization for the investment bank. Replacing Hogan and Jacques in their previous positions are Paul Birckel, who has been named Head of Treasury for the Americas, and James Ahern, who has been appointed to head Capital Market Finance for the region. Birckel previously headed interest rate trading in the U.S. and Mr. Ahern led the firm’s U.S. consumer asset backed team. FICC is an investor focused division that combines integrated engineering capabilities with seamless distribution. It comprises structuring IR, FX and credit products, securitization and portfolio management covering fixed income, FX sales and trading, treasury activities and commodities trading and sales. |
