Standard life appointment

Standard Life (LON:SL) has today announced the appointment to its UK Equities Team of Andrew Millington. Appointment The global fund manager, has appointed Millington to the position of Investment Director, UK Equities. Millington was previously employed by Baillie Gifford within their UK Equities team and as manager of the Baillie Gifford Income Fund. Working within the highly experienced UK Equities team which currently controls around 1.9% of the UK stock market, Andrew will report to David Cumming, Head of UK Equities. Millingtons initial focus will be on contributing to the analysis of UK stocks and sectors. David Cumming, Head of UK Equities at Standard Life Investments said: "We are delighted that Andrew has chosen to join our award-winning team*. Having already gained valuable experience during time spent in the North American Equities, Emerging Markets and finally the UK equities teams as manager of The Baillie Gifford Income Fund, we look forward to Andrew making a significant contribution to Standard Life Investments."
