Sun 3C Media names new CFO Print E-mail

Sun 3C Media Plc, the Chinese mobile media services company listed on AIM, has appointed Xing Jing as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Mr. Xing Jing, 50, is a highly experienced Finance Officer and has been interim CFO since 3 August 2007. Prior to joining Sun 3C, he was President and Chief Investment Adviser of Sun Media Investment Holdings Limited. He also served as Chairman and Executive Director of SMI Corporation Ltd (formerly Star East Holdings Ltd.) and SMI Publishing Group Limited (formerly Leadership Publishing Group Ltd), two Hong Kong-listed enterprises engaged in entertainment-related business. As Executive Director & General Manager of Stellar Megamedia (HK) Limited, he oversaw all media investment operations in Mainland China and Hong Kong. Mr Xing took up his post effective 1 September 2007.

Simultaneously, the company announced the appointment of Mr. Li Gang as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr Li, 42, is one of the most respected and experienced executives in the telecommunications industry. After joining China Electronic Appliances Corporation ('CEAC') in 1992, he led the company into the mobile telecommunications industry with his vast experience in working with government as well as China's telecom industry over the past 20 years. Mr Li was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of CEAC. Mr Li is currently a director of China Electronic Exhibition Corporation and China Electronic Appliance Shenzen Limited. He holds a Masters of Law from Beijing University. He joins Sun 3C effective 3 September 2007.

Sun 3C Media said that Chen Zhaobin will continue as Chairman of Sun 3C and will hand over the role of CEO to Mr Li illustrating best practice in corporate governance. Mr. Chen joined Sun 3C in January 2007 and was the former President of China Mobile and is one of China's best known mobile and telecommunications industry executives. As President of China Mobile, Mr. Chen oversaw its 1997 IPO and laid the groundwork for China Mobile to assume its current position as the world's largest mobile network.

DHKN Corporate Services Limited has been appointed Company Secretary following the resignation of Susan McKeon on 3 September 2007. DHKN Corporate Services Limited was established in January 2005 as an independent associate company of the Irish firm DHKN Chartered Accountants. The company provides company secretarial, corporate compliance and liquidation-related services primarily to financial institutions, investment funds and large corporate bodies.
