Suretrack Monitoring Plc, a specialist in GSM asset tracking and location, has appointed Michael Fairbotham as finance director, effective from 25 April 2008.
Fairbotham was admitted as a chartered accountant in 1975. He has previously worked as an audit manager for KPMG and since 2001, has operated as a sole practicing chartered accountant. He has worked as company secretary and financial officer for Forward Group Plc (1985-1998), Kemitron Plc (1998-1999) and Southern Circuits Limited (1999-2001). Fairbotham has acted as company secretary of Suretrack Monitoring Plc since April 2007 and will maintain this role in addition to his duties as finance director. The company also announced the appointment of Matthew Thompson as a non-executive director and the resignation of non-executive director Jock Paton. Thompson is a dual-qualified solicitor in the UK and Australia. He is an approved individual (CF30) by the FSA and is currently head of corporate finance at Golden Hinde Capital Limited. He has intermittently worked with Suretrack since its admittance to PLUS and will assist the company with its corporate finance and internal legal needs going forward. Will Hirons, managing director of Suretrack (LSE:STMP) said, “The addition of Mike and Matthew will further increase the experience and skill sets of both our executive and non-executive management. I have worked closely with both individuals in the past and have every expectation this addition will complement and enhance the company's existing board.” Related links |
