KPMG Forensic has recruited Brian Dilley as a partner within its anti-money laundering and financial services practice.
Brian joins from UBS Investment Bank where he spent three years, latterly as a Managing Director and Global Head of AML Compliance. Brian has over ten years of financial crime experience. Prior to joining UBS, he spent four years at the Financial Services Authority where he was Head of Department in the FSA’s Enforcement Division during the implementation of the Financial Services and Markets Act and the development of the FSA’s financial crime strategy. Brian has significant experience of major forensic investigations from his time at the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and from his previous time in KPMG Forensic where he ran several large corporate fraud investigations and gained extensive experience of asset tracing and freezing injunctions. He is also a member of the Serious Organised Crime Agency’s Vetted Committee, and has been a member of several significant anti-money laundering committees on behalf of IOSCO and the Wolfsberg Group of banks. Brian Dilley said: “I am very happy to be coming back to KPMG. They have a major anti-money laundering advisory capability which is expanding rapidly, and a very strong international network of AML professionals. With the creation of KPMG Europe, merging the UK, German and Swiss member firms, the opportunities for complex cross-border assignments are likely to be even greater.” Commenting on Brian’s appointment, Karen Briggs, Head of KPMG’s Financial Services Forensic practice, said: “We are delighted to have someone of Brian’s undoubted calibre and experience joining our team. AML continues to be a demanding area of focus for financial institutions and is becoming increasingly international in nature. I am sure that Brian will be a great asset to our clients and our team.” Brian’s appointment follows the recent recruitment of Mark Daws as an anti-money laundering director from PwC, further bolstering the AML and Financial Services team.
