Our client is a highly regarded acquisition group who co-acquire business for clients across a number of sectors. The group partners and invests alongside a network of sector-focused Operating Partners who have a successful record of creating shareholder value. Currently enjoying a strong deal flow, they are now looking to recruit a Deal Manager.
As the Deal Manager you will join our client, a leading acquisition group that has a record of making acquisitions in the small to medium midmarket space, and are supported by leading institutions. In this role you will be fully responsible for making deals happen.
Potential acquisition targets are sourced separately by our client and once the opportunities have been vetted, basic information and contact details for the target business are sent to the Deal Manager.
As the Deal Manager you will then be responsible for initiating discussions with the vendor and taking the opportunity to its conclusion (i.e. either acquisition is completed or offer formally declined). For a successful transaction, this activity will span from the initial discussion and negotiation with the vendor, to overseeing the final due diligence/documentation process at completion.
To succeed as the Deal Manager you must be a highly numerate, intelligent candidate with corporate finance experience, ideally from a transaction support background, possibly within a large accountancy firm. With your entrepreneurial spirit, you will also need to be a tenacious, self motivated individual with excellent business analysis skills, and the ability to analyse/interpret financial statements.
The successful candidate will receive an attractive package which comprises a basic salary, share of deal fees, and the opportunity to take an equity stake in the acquired business.
