Technology Security and Risk Services (TSRS) in the UK is a team of some 360 people with wide ranging industry, business and technology experience. We are part of Ernst & Young’s global network of almost 5,500 qualified and experienced information systems assurance and advisory professionals.
Our approach to market is business-focused and our Solutions are developed around client issues. Our Solutions focus on Programme Assurance, IS Governance and Management, Information Security and Internal Audit Services. TSRS forms part of a broader Risk Advisory Services practice whose aim is to enable an integrated approach to the delivery of risk and advisory services to our clients.
Our UK and Ireland (UKI) Risk Advisory Services team has over 120 people spread across the whole of the UK outside of London with key offices in Reading, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our ‘Best Team’ approach may require travel around the UK and internationally, especially for those with specialised skills sets.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Manager to help us achieve our strategic growth plans for ERP advisory and assurance work. This role is critical in helping us to deliver on our desire to be the leading provider of Risk Assurance Services within the marketplace. Role
The ERP Manager role involves working with clients to provide independent advice on how best to design, implement, stabilise and optimise ERP packages to meet the client’s objectives. This advice will typically be delivered along the lifecycle of a major transformation project involving ERP implementation eg a Shared Service Centre project, but can also be targeted advice designed to provide independent views at discreet points in time during an implementation eg Data Migration.
Some examples of the typical areas where our clients require our advice include ERP strategy and selection, implementation and optimisation of ERP systems are as follows:
1. ERP Strategy and Selection (Pre-implementation)
Work with clients to provide business analysis to support the development of the ERP strategy and support the selection process.
2. ERP Implementation
Work with clients to provide ERP advice over the implementation lifecycle.
3. ERP Optimisation (post implementation)
Work with clients to help optimise their investments in large scale ERP implementations.
Responsibilities
• As well as a technical understanding of the ERP specifics, the role involves the following general responsibilities:
• Managing a portfolio of clients and assignments, including resourcing and managing the effective delivery of assignments; performing quality review of assignment deliverables, adhering and driving through effective quality and risk management disciplines
• Developing relationships with key internal and external channels in support of ongoing delivery or future business development
• Driving forward business development activities, including identifying new sales opportunities; managing the development and delivery of technical proposals and developing relationships with senior client staff. Business development work will be supported by other members of the team/Partners.

• You will have significant experience in ERP advisory or assurance services (internal and external business or IT audit and assurance).
• Experience in a range of the following:
• Key ERP systems and their applicability to industry sectors
• ERP implementation experience either in a delivery assurance role or an implementation role
• Specific areas of expertise in a key ERP area, for example, CRM, SEM, Supply Chain.
• Experience in assessing implemented ERP systems and identifying improvement opportunities.
