As one of the UK’s fastest growing companies, our client is reputable for manufacturing, distributing and retailing a large range of garden and leisure products. They are an award winning entrepreneurial business, employing over 100 staff. An opportunity has now arisen for a Finance Director / Financial Controller to help drive the growth of the business.

Joining their Executive team, as a Finance Director / Financial Controller you will be responsible for managing the finance department, financial planning, analysis and reporting, and providing input to the overall strategy.

Your duties will include:

- reporting, analysing and reviewing monthly reporting packages
- generating annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- analysing gross margins and preparing statutory accounts
- providing strategic financial management and commercial guidance
- developing and monitoring robust KPI reporting systems

To succeed in this position you must be a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with experience in a similar role, ideally from within a FMCG, retail, wholesale or eCommerce environment. You will also need to demonstrate strong people management skills, and knowledge of central budgets and the balanced scorecard.

Equally as important to your success as the Finance Director / Financial Controller is your can-do, hands-on attitude, and your ability to respond and act in a fast-moving marketplace.
