Our client’s telecom, mobile ‘phone and music accessories for the home and office have become synonymous with style, quality and innovation. The company supply, via wholesalers, distributors and the retail trade to millions of customers throughout the UK and Europe. The company is now looking to appoint a Financial Controller / FC to play a key role in the company.
As a high calibre finance professional, the Financial Controller / FC will be responsible for managing and maintaining all accounting and administrative functions.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will supervise and control all day to day accounting functions and payroll, and prepare monthly management accounts.
You will also be responsible for:
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts
- Cash flow management and optimisation, and debt collection
- Supervision of customer liaison and sales order processing
- Maintenance of VAT records, submission of VAT returns and other statutory returns
- Liaison with banks, auditors, insurers, HMCE / IR inspectors and other company advisors
Essential to your success as the Financial Controller / FC will be your indepth experience within a finance/accountancy position and your professional qualification – such as ACA, ACCA, ACMA or similar. You will also have knowledge of Sage Sovereign or a similar accounting package, and strong PC skills (Excel and Word).
With your excellent attention to detail and your ability to analyse figures and statistics, you must be commercially aware with a strong sense of business acumen, and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
Although not essential, any knowledge of personnel, health and safety legislation, company secretarial administration, foreign exchange, licensing and/or insurance would be an advantage.
