Technology Security and Risk Services (TSRS) in the UK is a team of some 360 people with wide ranging industry, business and technology experience. We are part of Ernst & Young’s global network of almost 5,500 qualified and experienced information systems assurance and advisory professionals.

Our approach to market is business-focused and our solutions are developed around client issues. Our solutions focus on Programme Advisory, IS Governance and Management, Information Security and Internal Audit Services. TSRS forms part of a broader Risk Advisory Services practice whose aim is to enable an integrated approach to the delivery of risk and advisory services to our clients.

Our UK and Ireland (UKI) Risk Advisory Services team has over 120 people spread across the whole of the UK outside of London with key offices in Reading, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our ‘Best Team’ approach may require travel around the UK and internationally, especially for those with specialised skills sets.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Manager who is confident in leading teams to deliver the IT-related aspects of complex PAS engagements, as part of our wider cross-firm PAS team. We expect our PAS Managers to support our strategies to become the leading provider of PAS services within the marketplace.

Role
This role is critical in helping us to achieve our strategic objective to be the leading provider of PAS and other assurance based services in our market. The individual will take on significant elements of the day-to-day management of smaller, lower risk PAS assignments and work as part of larger teams on more complex assignments. • The PAS Manager role involves working with clients to provide independent insights and advice on effective IT-related programme implementation, focusing on Vision and Direction, Business Acceptance, Planning, Execution and Monitoring.
• Leading teams of highly motivated individuals, managing the quality delivery of a range of PAS assignments,
• Building excellent relationships with our internal channels and broadening our proposition with the external marketplace.
• Responsibilities
• As well as a technical understanding of PAS specifics, the role involves the following general responsibilities:
• Managing a portfolio of clients and assignments, including resourcing and managing the effective delivery of assignments, performing quality review of assignment deliverables, adhering and driving through effective quality and risk management disciplines
• Developing relationships with key internal and external channels in support of ongoing delivery or future business development
• Driving forward business development activities, including identifying new sales opportunities; managing the development and delivery of technical proposals and developing relationships with senior client staff. Business development work will be supported by other members of the team/Partners.
Person
• This role would be suitable for individuals with experience in IT assurance and advisory and individuals with broader programme management experience who are looking for a new challenge and career direction.
• Some examples of the typical areas the PAS Manager’s role will involve are as follows:
• Programme implementation review
• Work with clients to provide insights and advice over the implementation lifecycle of an IT-focused programme. .
• Programme management
• Work with clients to provide programme management or programme management office (PMO) services.

Experience/Skills:
• You will have a history of success in leading teams and motivating others, you may be seen as a high achiever and been recognised for exceeding expectations, willing to take on a challenge, and be able to use their initiative with minimal support.
• You will be flexible, with the ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• You will require strong team working skills, strong presentation and report writing skills, and have experience and passion for identifying sales opportunities and developing new business with clients.
• You will have significant experience in programme advisory or assurance services, and be recognised as a subject matter specialist in their current role.
• Experienced in assessing programmes and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Experience of the following would also be an advantage:
• The assessment and recovery of a major change programme
• Managing a complex (ie multi-year, cross-border, multi-supplier) program through its lifecycle
• Specific areas of expertise in a key PAS area such as programme risk management, procurement and/or contract review, earned value management.
