Our client is one of the fastest broking and financial services businesses in the UK. They specialise in delivering market-leading insurance solutions to both individuals and businesses. An opportunity has now arisen for a Project Manager / Business Analyst to join their software house division.

As a Project Manager / Business Analyst you will be responsible for planning and delivering projects on time, to budget, and to agreed specification in order to meet operational and business requirements. Your position will involve working closely with the development team, and assisting customers in producing requirements documents, therefore you’ll need excellent communication and influencing skills, and ideally, an understanding of the insurance industry.
Your main duties will include:
- work with the development team, formulating and delivering projects
- identifying and progressing the allocation of solutions across projects, programmes and releases
- assisting business stakeholders with the prioritisation and phasing of requirements
- developing high-level and detailed functional and non-functional system requirements
- managing changes during the development lifecycle
- performing quality reviews on deliverables produced by colleagues
To succeed in this position you must be an experienced Project Manager or Business Analyst, ideally with experience in the insurance or finance industry. Business Analysts will be provided with project management training, and Project Managers will be provided with Business Analyst training. Any IT knowledge and/or a technical aptitude would be beneficial to your application, but is not essential.
Additionally, as the Project Manager / Business Analyst you must have knowledge of development lifecycles and relevant business practices, along with a strong customer focus. Your good communication and presentation skills are also vital, as are your strong decision making skills and your ability to influence your peers.
