As a Senior Commercial Accountant for this blue-chip plc your input will be sought by the business as a change agent and a commercial expert in your area. As the job is the link between Finance and the Business, you'll be seen as natural successor to the Directors, and could equally fill a non-finance role within the organisation at management group level.

Responsibilities:
·Identifying key business areas to drive growth or cost saving opportunities
·Driving the strategic agenda across the business for top line growth, and optimal cost bases
·Leading change activity in the business ensuring benefits are delivered
·Challenging the business to deliver budget based on continuous improvement
·Interpreting financial performance of the Business, identifying risks and opportunities
·Proactively challenging business decision making
·Developing and motivating a high performing team.

Our requirements:
·Qualified accountant with PQE, with extensive commercial experience
·Ideally, has worked outside the Finance function for a period of time
·Highly skilled in managing relationships with key stakeholders at a leading level
·Articulate, highly skilled and insightful in analysing business information in complex business situations
·Able to draw out the key risks and opportunities, and able to summarise these succinctly both verbally and in report format
·Can demonstrate examples of having challenged accepted practice and process ·
