Page 2 of 2 Growing tension After the Pennsylvania primary, only nine contests remain in Indiana, North Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Montana, South Dakota and Guam. Just 408 delegates are left in total in these locations. Early estimations see support from Pennsylvania for both candidates is fairly evenly matched and excitement about the big day is widespread. The growing tension between Obama and Clinton has led to negative adverts being run in the state and the pair have been casting unfriendly words around as 22 April looms. Pennsylvania will be the first time voters have cast ballots since Obama won the Mississippi primary on March 11. This is one of the most hotly contested election campaigns in decades and both candidates can rely on passionate support, not least from the large US community in the UK. What matters most for finance directors, however, is the realisation that being a capable manager may add short-term value to their organisation but firms are increasingly realising that it is the long-term vision inspired by true leadership that matters most. Whatever the daily grind, headhunters are continuously scouring the planet for candidates who have the potential to be charismatic leaders as well as capable managers.
